The song Purple Rain is known to be, one of the all time best songs for a break up. As the camera focused back on Prince, he spoke he would like to " dedicate this song to my father". The camera briefly focused on the responsible female band member with guitar in hand. Before his live performance, he stated that the song was written by a fellow, female, band member.
